Kayleigh Robb

My name is Kayleigh Robb. I am a 5/6th grade teacher and AAO alumna. I attended AAO for 7th and 8th grade more than 20 years ago, and I am so thrilled to have rejoined the community as a staff member. I earned my BA in Elementary Education (and TESOL minor) from Michigan State University in 2012, and I have worked in classrooms all over the country, including Chicago (IL), New Orleans (LA) and Austin (TX). In 2017, I earned my MA in Educational Technology and I am currently part of a district program to earn my MA in TESOL. I returned to Michigan in 2022, and have been working at AAO since 2023. One thing I love about my job is creating a classroom culture of mutual respect, empathy, kindness, and service. I also love working with my partner teacher, Johnny, and co-directing AAO's Theatre Club with her.
When I am not in school, you can find me at the gym, at a coffee shop, or at home paling around with my 3 furry children (Lupe, Sherman and Bijoux). Camping, hiking and fishing are some of the things I will do more of when I have finished my second grad program. I love to dance and was part of a Mardi Gras Dance "Krewe" in New Orleans. I hope to one day start an amateur dance team locally to help more people experience the joy and power of performance.
