In music class, we learn about the Musical World through activity based exploration! We develop our musicianship skills, including singing voice, creativity, beat, musical knowledge, and observation/criticality. Some non-musical goals include strengthening our imagination, teamwork, & problem solving skills.

About me: I love making music, theatre, cookies, costumes, and dinner. I started teaching/directing music in high school,and never stopped. Since then, I have had the pleasure of teaching elementary general music and middle school vocal music. I came to AAPS to teach elementary theater in 2023. I am also the president of Spinning Dot Theater, an Ann Arbor based global theater company. I am delighted to be part of the Open community and am looking forward to a year of joyful music making! ♪
